HOME STYLE its RED HOT with ASIAN ART
Thursday, May 17th, 2007Think edgy, hip and accessible. Asian Art is in high demand from Singapore to New York. It’s the trendiest modern-art niche en ce moment. And no, we are not talking Vietnamese knock-off artists and their paint-by-number budha heads.
Style Clinic by Astin Brown Inc , invites you to an Asian Artscene talk with Singaporean, Parveen Sandhu (PhD). She is a contemporary South Asian Art Consultant for private and corporate collectors.
She will artspeak (minus the bourgeois art snob rhetoric) about the momentum of South Asian Art, the artists - their graphically bold and finally executed subjects, and importantly, ‘the how to’s’ of weaving asian art (a symbol of worldliness) into the global nomad’s space.
Get ready to be installed with a new way of looking at the region and the story of those who paint it. Expect a sprawling, colourful and compelling reflection of the state of the art in South Asia.
Join us for a wickedly colourful sampling of Nonya Kuih, Javanesse roasted coffee and regional leaf teas.
